 Amino acids The miraculous aloe leaf has been found to contain more than 200 compounds, including 20 minerals, 18 amino acids and 12 vitamins. Amino Acids are the building blocks of Proteins. There are a total of 20 amino acids, 8 of which are considered essential amino acids, as they are not made by the body. Those which the body can make for itself are called non essential amino acids.
